Sociología de la seguridad vial

Abstract

<p>La seguridad vial es la que se asocia con el tr&aacute;fico autom&oacute;vil. Puede ser analizada desde varios puntos de vista, centralmente el que compete a los ingenieros o a las autoridades de tr&aacute;fico. Pero permite asimismo la consideraci&oacute;n sociol&oacute;gica al tratar la mentalidad de los conductores o de los viandantes. Ese es precisamente el punto de vista de esta investigaci&oacute;n, en la que los autores se apoyan en multitud de datos estad&iacute;sticos y de encuesta y en observaciones personales.&nbsp;</p> <p>La mentalidad condiciona las conductas de las personas, la percepci&oacute;n de la seguridad vial, la propensi&oacute;n a los accidentes o la decisi&oacute;n de asegurarse. El grado de satisfacci&oacute;n con la compa&ntilde;ia aseguradora depender&aacute; mucho de esa previa mentalidad, que en este estudio se examina con alg&uacute;n detenimiento. Adem&aacute;s, para facilitar el an&aacute;lisis, conviene distinguir entre accidentalidad y siniestralidad. La accidentalidad se refiere a la tasa de accidentes, esto es, a los sucesos eventuales de los que resulta el da&ntilde;o para las personas o las cosas. La siniestralidad enfoca los mismos sucesos desde el punto de vista de los costes que suponen para las personas involucradas y las compa&ntilde;&iacute;as aseguradoras.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
