Salud emocional y experiencias de rechazo social en personas bisexuales de México:

Abstract

La investigación científica sobre la salud emocional de personas bisexuales en México es escasa. El presente estudio busca analizar, desde la perspectiva de género y la intersección de las emociones, la salud emocional y las experiencias de rechazo social de hombres y mujeres bisexuales de México reportadas en la Encuesta Nacional sobre Diversidad Sexual y de Género Web (ENDISEG-WEB 2022). El análisis que se presenta en este documento utiliza exclusivamente la información de salud emocional de hombres y mujeres La principal problemática reportada fue el estrés, y el tipo de rechazo social más experimentado por las personas bisexuales fue la humillación, avergonzarles o recibir groserías. El perfil de salud emocional de las personas bisexuales se enmarca con problemáticas vinculadas, principalmente, al estrés o los sentimientos de angustia, miedo o ansiedad. No obstante, a pesar de que dichas adversidades se encuentran presentes en mujeres y hombres, ambos grupos las presentan en distintas proporciones. Se requiere ampliar este tipo de estudios, que no sólo enfaticen en las problemáticas de salud emocional, sino también en las formas de resistencia que configuran estos colectivos humanos.
