Abstract Mathematics is one of the major subjects in the curriculum and is perceived as one of the most complex fields. The present paper presents research and recommendations for activities tested and tried in class, which are designed to promote and develop mathematics knowledge, based on visual illustrations. The activities combine acquaintance with the various traffic signs and mathematics studies, geometry and arithmetic. Activities like those, as a multi-disciplinary practice, will entail pupils' better and more meaningful comprehension of mathematics and will enrich knowledge of this subject.
