This Open Catalogue of Business Models has been developed by the MAKE project to contribute to the financial sustainability of makerspaces and support the creation of a decentralized production ecosystem. It is intended to be a source of inspiration. It cannot tell you what business models will work in your community, but it can give you ideas and guidance on what might work. The elements in the catalogue are designed to be used like building blocks –you can choose a few and combine them in your own way to create a unique model for your space. You will need to adapt each element to your environment and experiment to find out which variations work best in your own community.
