Abstract

La halitosis es un problema multifactorial que tiene un gran impacto social y económico, causando vergüenza y como consecuencia afecta la comunicación social. Los dentífricos con marcas reconocidas están compuestas por distintos elementos que pueden ser difíciles de conseguir o a su vez sus costos son muy elevados para que logren inhibir la halitosis, es por ello que se ha creado un dentífrico a base de plantas medicinales, además del uso de los ácidos esenciales extraídos de los frutas cítricas, en este caso la mandarina que ha sido comprobada científicamente que tiene una actividad bacteriostática. La presente investigación propone el desarrollo de un método para la evaluación y control de efecto de un dentífrico a base de productos naturales en la halitosis.
