Abstract

Voor baby’s, peuters en kleuters is voorschoolse educatie in de bibliotheek een essentiële voorziening om laaggeletterdheid te voorkomen. BoekStart, het begin van de doorlopende leeslijn, vormt voor kinderen van 0 tot 4 jaar het startpunt van de lees- en taalontwikkeling. In het kader van dit aanbod is de stand van zaken omtrent de product- en dienstverlening van openbare bibliotheken voor kinderen van 0 tot 4 jaar via de Bibliotheekmonitor in kaart gebracht.
