An overview of atmospheric radicals in the atmosphere, current detection techniques and the aims of the RADICAL project to create a small, low-cost sensor to electrically detect radicals. Vaishali Vardhan delivered this presentation for Environ 2021 - 31st Annual Irish Environmental Researchers Colloquium, which is the longest running and largest forum for environmental researchers in Ireland. RADICAL represents a 'Fundamental Breakthrough in Detection of Atmospheric Free Radicals'. Find out more on the RADICAL project website: radical-air.eu The RADICAL project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement number 899282.
