Visuelle Recherchesysteme zur Unterstützung der Wissensverarbeitung

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag fasst Erfahrungen bei der Konzeption und Entwicklungy von visuellen Recherchesystemen, die zur Exploration von digitalen Datenräumen genutzt werden können, zusammen. Sie spielen im Prozess der Wissensverarbeitung eine wichtige Rolle, da sie dem Wissensverarbeiter dabei helfen, die für seine Frage- bzw. Aufgabestellung relevanten Informationen zu finden, um beispielsweise Entscheidungsprozesse vorzubereiten. Es wird gezeigt, dass das Medium Computer durch die Kombination von interaktiven Visualisierungen und leistungsfähigen Retrieval bzw. Data Mining Techniken ein großes Potential bietet, den Wissensgewinnungsprozess effektiver und effizienter zu gestalten. Entscheidend für den Erfolg derartiger Systeme ist dabei ein medienadäquate Designprozess, wie Denken am Modell , das systematische Anknüpfen an und die Übertragung von bisherigen Designideen sowie ein strikt benutzerzentrierter Entwicklungsprozess.
