Weichweizen (Triticum aestivum) ist die wichtigste Bio-Ackerkultur in Österreich. Vor allem die Erzeugung von Qualitätsweizen ist von Bedeutung. In den Erntejahren 2022 und 2023 waren die österreichischen Bio-Landwirte jedoch von Ertragsverlusten und vor allem Qualitätsabschlägen durch Befall mit Steinbrand konfrontiert. Im Beitrag werden einige wichtige Maßnahmen zur Verhinderung von Weizensteinbrand erläutert.
