LE DISCOURS RELIGIEUX DANS LA SCENE POLITIQUE AU MAROC: QUELQUES ASPECTS D'ETHOS COLLECTIF / THE RELIGIOUS DISCOURSE IN THE POLITICAL SCENE IN MOROCCO: SOME ASPECTS OF COLLECTIVE ETHOS

Abstract

Abstract: This article provides an in-depth analysis of the religious discourse adopted by the Islamic Party in Morocco, highlighting its key characteristics and associated issues. Specifically, it focuses on the party's pragmatic intentions and its enunciative system. Indeed, the Justice and Development Party relies on religious texts for preaching, popular mobilization, and shaping public opinion. Its objective is to present itself as the sole legitimate representative of a reformist Islamic societal project. This approach could be described as an electoral and political jihad, primarily aimed at establishing an emotional and affective connection with the masses, emphasizing legitimacy and transparency. Keywords: religious discourse, public sphere, enunciative system, legitimacy, and credibility.
