Öğretmenlerde Okul İklimi Algı Düzeyinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Öz Bu araştırmada öğretmenlerde okul iklimi algı düzeyinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında Canlı vd., (2018) geliştirilmiş olan “Okul İklimi Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel yöntemlerden olan tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni 2022 yılının Eylül ayında Malatya ilinde bulunan Milli eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı okullarda çalışmakta olan 365 öğretmendir. Araştırma verileri anket uygulaması ile elde edilmiş, bu verilerin analizinde SPSS 22.0 istatistiksel çözümleme programı kullanılmıştır. Analizlerde anlamlılık düzeyi p<0.05 olarak alınmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, öğretmenlerin okul iklimine yönelik algı düzeylerinde cinsiyet, eğitim durumu, sınıf mevcudu, okul türü, kıdem gibi değişkenlerin etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Eğitim düzeyinin yükselmesi öğretmenlerin okul iklimine yönelik algılarını olumsuz yönde etkilerken, sınıf mevcudunun fazla olması da okul iklimini algılama konusunda olumsuz etkisinin bulunduğu, İlkokulda görev yapmakta olan öğretmenlerin okul iklimi algı düzeylerinin daha düşük olduğu, hizmet süresinin ilk yıllarında ve son yıllarına okul iklimine yönelik algı düzeyinin düşmekte olduğu sonucu elde edilmiş, okul içerisinde öğretmenlerin okul iklimine yönelik algı düzeyini düşürecek etkenlerin en aza indirilmesi önerilmiştir. Abstract In this study, it was aimed to examine the perception level of school climate in teachers. The “School Climate Scale” developed by Viva et al., (2018) was used to collect the research data. The survey model, which is one of the quantitative methods, was used in the research. The universe of the research is 365 teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Malatya in September 2022. The research data were obtained by questionnaire application, and SPSS 22.0 statistical analysis program was used in the analysis of these data. The level of significance in the analyzes was taken as p<0.05. As a result of the research, it was concluded that variables such as gender, educational status, class size, school type, and seniority were effective on teachers' perception levels of school climate. While the increase in the education level negatively affects the perceptions of the teachers about the school climate, the large number of classrooms has a negative effect on the perception of the school climate, the perception level of the school climate is lower in the first and last years of the service period. It was concluded that the factors that would decrease the perception level of teachers towards the school climate within the school should be minimized.
