INCIDÊNCIA DE HERPES TIPO 2 DIAGNOSTICADOS PELA COLPOCITOLOGIA NO SISTEMA ÚNICO DE SAÚDE PÚBLICA

Abstract

O Herpes Vírus Tipo 2 (HSV-2) é a principal causa de herpes genital, uma das infecções sexualmente transmissíveis mais prevalentes no mundo. As Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST’s) são um problema de saúde pública em populações carentes, pois essa população está diretamente em risco de contrair e transmitir diversas IST’s devido a comportamentos propensos à exposição a diversos patógenos. O presente trabalho apresentará conceitos básicos sobre a transmissão do Herpes Vírus Tipo 2, com o objetivo de analisar a incidência de casos diagnosticado na rede pública de saúde. Para isto, foi coletado informações de transmissão de diversos Estados do Brasil e Municípios do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Este estudo apresentou uma análise descritiva sobre a incidência do vírus em amostras colpocitológicas coletadas no período de 2006 a 2015. Os resultados mostram uma incidência no Brasil de 0,38% de casos positivos de HSV-2 em exames de colpocitologia realizados no SUS, com maiores incidências nos estados de São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro. Portanto, considerando o HSV-2 uma das doenças sexualmente transmissíveis com maior crescimento nas últimas décadas, como um problema de saúde pública no Brasil, é de extrema importância o papel da atenção básica no atendimento à população, visando integrar ações de prevenção e promoção da saúde.
