Western Atlantic— Brazil (Pernambuco, Alagoas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina) (Villalobos 1959; Smalley 1963; Ramos-Porto & Coelho 1998; Torati & Mantelatto 2012). Remarks. Previous records from the coast of São Paulo include Ubatuba, São Sebastião, Ilhabela (Ilha de São Sebastião), Peruíbe, and Iguape (Villalobos 1959; Smalley 1963; Rocha & Bueno 2004; Torati & Mantelatto 2012; Rocha et al. 2013; Grilli et al. 2014; Machado et al. 2020). Sequences accession number (GenBank): CCDB 1972—16S (JN228974), CCDB 6494—COI (OM672403) (Torati & Mantelatto 2012; present study).
