Phakopsora cupheae Buritica on Cuphea ignea A. DC. Panama, Chiriqui Province, road to Caizan, 8°47.382'N, 82°42.547'W, 25 Nov. 2004, leg. J.R. Hernandez 2004-103, II (BPI 871907). P. cupheae was reported from the Caribbean, Central America, and northern South America (Farr et al. 2004). This is the first report of P. cupheae from Panama.
