20. Stigmella malella (Stainton, 1854) (new to the Crimea) (Figs 32, 82) Host-plants. Malus domestica Borkh. in the Crimea; in other regions also M. sylvestris Mill., occasionally Prunus spp. Type of distribution (chorological group). Euro-Submediterranean; the species occurs from Portugal and Ireland to Finland, the southern Ural, and Greece. Records from the Caucasus (Georgia) need to be viewed with caution (Puplesis & Diškus 2003). Material examined. CRIMEA: 1♂, 1♀, 20 km SW Feodosiya, Karadag Reserve, mining larvae on Malus domestica Borkh., fieldwork card no. 5023, 14 –17.vii.2011, leg. A. Diškus & A. Navickaitė, genitalia slide no.
