Consortium scientific activities and community involvement
In this presentation we discuss the organization of the PLATO Science Management (PSM). The PSM is responsible for the interpretation of the mission science objectives into user requirements and defining the algorithms used in the analysis of PLATO lightcurves. This includes the scientific verification of the exoplanet and stellar pipelines that will produce the high-level data products. The PSM is also in charge of the PLATO Input catalogue (PIC) and the organization of the ground-based observation programme (GOP). Finally, the PSM encourages non-core science performed by the community with PLATO data..
