Doi: 10.5281/zenodo.5111380 Issue number 3 Volume 8 December 2012 of the New Iraqi Journal of Medicine (ISSN: 1817-5562, 1998037X; 2005-2013) was published by Aamir Jalal Al-Mosawi as the editor in chief. The New Iraqi Journal of Medicine which is the first Iraqi International peer-reviewed medical journal was founded by Aamir Jalal Al-Mosawi. It was the first Iraqi medical journal to declare adherence to the policies of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical editors (WAME), and the Committee on publication ethics (COPE). It is the first Iraqi medical journal to be included in SCOPUS, and until now (July, 2021), it is the only Iraqi medical journal that appeared in SciMago country journal ranking. It was also the first Iraqi medical journal to be included in Index Copernicus Journal Master List, and the first to be listed in the PubMed.
