Abstract

53. Rhipicephalus nitens Neumann, 1904. An Afrotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Artiodactyla: Bovidae, and Lagomorpha: Leporidae. Adults and larvae have been collected from Carnivora: Canidae; adults alone have been recovered from Perissodactyla: Equidae, while larvae alone have been taken from Galliformes: Numididae.
