Concepciones teóricas sobre la enseñanza del italiano en Uruguay: hablante y saber de lengua en Basile, Meo Zilio y Zannier (décadas de 1950 y 1960)

Abstract

El artículo propone una lectura teórica de la enseñanza de lenguas en tres textos pertenecientes a tres profesores italianos llegados a Uruguay en la década de 1950. Sus autores, Filippo Basile, Giovanni Meo Zilio y Guido Zannier fueron contemporáneos de un cuarto lingüista de relieve, también llegado desde Italia, aunque nacido en Rumania: Eugenio Coseriu. Los tres primeros estuvieron involucrados en la enseñanza del italiano mientras este último se concentró en temas teóricos propios de la lingüística de la primera mitad del siglo XX. Se intenta contribuir con el desarrollo de una investigación cuyo principal objeto es una profundización teórica en la enseñanza de lenguas en sus dimensiones epistémica y de representación. El análisis aquí realizado nos permitirá proveer algunos elementos para comprender la forma en que la lengua italiana fue pensada como objeto de enseñanza en el Uruguay de las décadas de 1950-1960, dentro de una institución particularmente comprometida con la formación de docentes: el Instituto de Profesores "Artigas".
