Africa, Gramineae 3: 691. 1982): Königs s.n. , Herb. Linn. No. 1217.9 (LINN). Current name: Cenchrus ciliaris L. (Poaceae). Note: Although Kerguélen (in Lejeunia, n.s., 75: 119. 1975) stated "Type:...LINN", this is not accepted as a formal typification, for the reasons explained by Cafferty & al. (in Taxon 49: 240. 2000).
