Linking knowledge management practices and the organizational performance of Pakistan’s telecommunication

Abstract

L'objectif de l'étude est d'examiner la relation entre les pratiques de gestion des connaissances et la performance organisationnelle des télécommunications du Pakistan. L'étude est basée sur des données primaires recueillies à partir de deux cent dix (sur trois cents questionnaires) gestionnaires de niveau intermédiaire de différentes télécommunications situées dans les villes de Rawalpindi et Islamabad au Pakistan. Un questionnaire auto-conçu a été utilisé pour la collecte de données. Les données ont été analysées à l'aide des techniques d'analyse de régression multiple. Tous les résultats ont été testés à 0,01 et 0,05 niveau de signification. Le résultat démontre que les pratiques de gestion des connaissances ont un impact positif et significatif sur la performance organisationnelle, ce qui reflète le fait que les organisations qui préfèrent les pratiques de gestion des connaissances obtiennent des résultats bénéfiques par rapport à leurs concurrents. Le début des cinq facettes formule qu'il est plus facile pour la direction de centrer son attention sur elles, assurant les comportements particuliers à faire ressortir pour les commencer.

El objetivo del estudio es examinar la relación entre las prácticas de gestión del conocimiento y el desempeño organizacional de las telecomunicaciones de Pakistán. El estudio se basa en datos primarios recopilados de doscientos diez (de trescientos cuestionarios) gerentes de nivel medio de diferentes telecomunicaciones ubicados en las ciudades de Rawalpindi e Islamabad de Pakistán. Se utilizó un cuestionario autodiseñado para la recopilación de datos. Los datos se analizaron utilizando las técnicas de análisis de regresión múltiple. Todos los hallazgos se probaron a un nivel de significación de 0,01 y 0,05. El resultado demuestra que las prácticas de gestión del conocimiento tienen un impacto positivo y significativo en el desempeño organizacional, lo que refleja que las organizaciones que prefieren las prácticas de gestión del conocimiento obtienen resultados beneficiosos que sus competidores. El inicio de las cinco facetas hace que sea más fácil para la gerencia centrar su atención en ellas, asegurando que los comportamientos particulares se pongan en práctica para comenzarlas.

The objective of the study is to examine the relationship between knowledge management practices and the organizational performance of Pakistan's telecommunication.The study is based on primary data collected from two hundred and ten (out of three hundred questionnaires) middle level managers of different telecommunications located in Rawalpindi & Islamabad cities of Pakistan.A self designed questionnaire was used for data collection.The data was analyzed using the techniques of multiple regression analysis.All the findings were tested at 0.01 and 0.05 level of significance.The result demonstrates that knowledge management practices have positive and significant impact on organizational performance, which reflects that organizations that prefer knowledge management practices get beneficial outcomes than their competitors.The commencement of the five facets formulates it easier for the management to centre their attentiveness on them, assuring the particular behaviors to bring out to commence them.

الهدف من الدراسة هو دراسة العلاقة بين ممارسات إدارة المعرفة والأداء التنظيمي للاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية في باكستان. تستند الدراسة إلى البيانات الأولية التي تم جمعها من مائتين وعشرة (من أصل ثلاثمائة استبيان) من مديري المستوى المتوسط لمختلف الاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية الموجودين في مدينتي روالبندي وإسلام أباد في باكستان. تم استخدام استبيان مصمم ذاتيًا لجمع البيانات. تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام تقنيات تحليل الانحدار المتعدد. تم اختبار جميع النتائج عند مستوى 0.01 و 0.05 من الأهمية. توضح النتيجة أن ممارسات إدارة المعرفة لها تأثير إيجابي وهام على الأداء التنظيمي، مما يعكس أن المنظمات التي تفضل ممارسات إدارة المعرفة تحصل على نتائج مفيدة من منافسيها. إن بدء الجوانب الخمسة يصوغ أنه من الأسهل على الإدارة تركيز انتباهها عليها، مع التأكيد على السلوكيات الخاصة لإبرازها للبدء بها.
