A hegemonização do proibicionismo brasileiro: a disputa em torno do consenso sobre as drogas

Abstract

O presente artigo têm como intuito apresentar, através de uma abordagem sócio-histórica, a produção da hegemonia proibicionista no campo das drogas no contexto brasileiro. Mediante a análise de leis e políticas públicas que vigoraram, e vigoram, no Brasil, os movimentos de atores sociais organizados e sua inserção nas estruturas de poder são chaves para compreender as dinâmicas de fabricação de consenso que ampliou as formas de controle social das populações empobrecidas pelo capital. Esta evolução histórica sinaliza para a atual conformação das frentes parlamentares como sujeitos protagonistas que, em um contexto de crise da democracia representativa e ascenso de uma conjuntura de moral religiosa, atende a demandas pontuais que fortalecem o sistema de justiça criminal e de saúde pública de forma mais punitiva e mais repressiva.Palavras-Chave: Hegemonia.
