Das Projekt „Forschen lernen – Lernen erforschen!“ am Oberstufen-Kolleg Bielefeld

Authors: Tobias Feldhoff;

Das Projekt „Forschen lernen – Lernen erforschen!“ am Oberstufen-Kolleg Bielefeld

Abstract

The article presents the goals and the concept of and the experiences from a project on research-based learning with students at the Oberstufen-Kolleg (laboratory school for upper secondary education). During the two-weeks project phase, which takes place every half year, the students of this project were able to pursue their own questions using research methods from social sciences. Results show that although the goals associated with the research-based learning can be achieved, two weeks within the project phase are rather short. Therefore, the connection to regular classes besides the project phase might be useful. The project was developed and carried out by a Professor of Educational Science from the Johannes-Gutenberg-University of Mainz and two students from the University of Bielefeld.
