A cegueira que produz sujeitos ausentes

Abstract

Este artigo é fruto de uma reflexão teórica sobre as dificuldades apresentadas pelo corpo de discentes e docentes, dos cursos que ministrei, em encontrar o sujeito histórico negro nas fontes do século XIX. Compreendo tal fragilidade como um legado cruel de uma formação colonializada produtora de uma cegueira epistêmica e invisibilizadora de sujeitos históricos. Tais práticas colonializadas foram manifestadas por profissionais da educação em 2019, dezesseis anos após a implementação da lei 10.639/03, o que denuncia a forte presença do silenciamento Moderno dos sujeitos outros, que garantem a perpetuação do “véu da raça” e o confinamento de sujeitos históricos na “zona do não-ser”.
