La renovación de la figura del poder en las dos últimas novelas de Carlos Fuentes

Abstract

Les deux romans de Carlos Fuentes, La voluntad y la fortuna et Adán en Edén se nourrissent d’un thème commun : le pouvoir économique face au pouvoir politique. Si cet écrivain présentait auparavant le pouvoir économique comme étroitement lié aux mécanismes du PRI et de son gouvernement, il rénove aujourd’hui cette vision en accord avec l’évolution du pouvoir au Mexique. Le pouvoir économique est maintenant indépendant, très puissant, et influent sur les politiques. De cette manière, les deux nouvelles figures du pouvoir que sont les magnats financiers Max Monroy et Adán Gorozpe instrumentalisent les politiques en vue de leur propre enrichissement. Le président Carrera dans La Voluntad y la Fortuna comme le ministre de l’Intérieur Adán Góngora dans Adán en Edén, deviennent ainsi les pantins personnels des entrepreneurs.

Las dos novelas de Carlos Fuentes, La voluntad y la fortuna y Adán en Edén, se sustentan de un tema común: el poder económico frente al poder político. Si antes este escritor presentaba el poder económico como estrechamente relacionado con los mecanismos del PRI y de su gobierno, hoy en día renueva esta visión junto con la evolución del poder en México. El poder económico es ahora independiente, muy poderoso e influyente sobre los políticos. De esta forma, las dos nuevas figuras del poder, los magnates financieros Max Monroy y Adán Gorozpe instrumentalizan a los políticos hacia su propio enriquecimiento. El presidente Carrera en La Voluntad y la Fortuna como el ministro del interior Adán Góngora en Adán en Edén se convierten de esta forma en los títeres personales de los empresarios.
