The Karakterisasi dan Skrinning Fitokimia Simplisia Sabut Kelapa Muda

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Sabut kelapa muda merupakan salah satu simplisia yang telah diuji mempunyai manfaat sebagai antibakteri dan antiseptik. Sabut kelapa muda sebagai salah satu simplisia herbal bagi pengobatan belum pernah dikarakterisasi dan diidentifikasi kandungan metabolit sekunder yang dimiliki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai parameter standar mutu simplisia serbuk sabut kelapa muda dan kandungan metabolit sekunder yang dimilikinya. Metode: Karakterisasi serbuk simplisia sabut kelapa muda berupa uji organoleptis, kadar air, kadar sari larut air, dan kadar sari larut etanol. Metode penentuan kadar air menggunakan metode destilasi azeotropic kontiniu. Metode uji organoleptis dan kadar sari larut air dan larut etanol sesuai dengan Farmakope Herbal Indonesia. Skrinning fitokimia serbuk simplisia sabut kelapa muda menggunakan uji Mayer, uji Dragendroff, uji Bouchardat, Shinoda test, Liebermann Buchard test, saponin test, polifenol test. Hasil: Serbuk simpilisia mempunyai warna dark salmon pink, berbau khas lemah, kadar air, kadar sari larut air dan sari larut etanol secara berurutan sebesar (6,94; 16,85; 18,35)%. Jenis senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terdapat pada serbuk simplisia sabut kelapa muda adalah alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, dan triterpenoid. Kesimpulan:Nilai parameter standar mutu serbuk simplisia sabut kelapa muda adalah warna dark salmon pink, berbau khas lemah, kadar air, kadar sari larut air dan sari larut etanol secara berurutan sebesar (6,94; 16,85; 18,35)% serta jenis senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terdapat pada serbuk simplisia sabut kelapa muda adalah alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, dan triterpenoid. Kata kunci : karakterisasi simplisia, skrinning fitokimia simplisia, sabut kelapa muda
