Abstract

Ketidakpastian tingkat hunian hotel di Kota Malang dapat mempengaruhi keputusan investor dalam industri perhotelan di kota tersebut. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya peramalan untuk menentukan berapa banyak kamar yang harus disediakan untuk memenuhi permintaan yang diperkirakan. Tanpa peramalan, dapat mengakibatkan pemborosan sumber daya dengan memiliki terlalu banyak atau terlalu sedikit kamar yang tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meramalkan Tingkat penghunian kamar hotel berbintang yang ada di Kota Malang berdasarkan dari situs resmi BPS. Meramalkan Tingkat penghunian kamar hotel berbintang dapat mengetahui perkembangan perekonomian nasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mencari metode terbaik dari metode yang akan dipakai. Pada penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode Single Exponential Smoothing dan Double Exponential Smoothing. Hasil penelitian ini akan berperan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan di bidang peramalan tingkat penghunian kamar hotel, yang akan menjadi dasar untuk penelitian selanjutnya. Hasil perbandingan yang didapat yaitu Double Exponential Smoothing menghasilkan peramalan yang lebih akurat dibandingkan dengan Single Exponential Smoothing. Hal ini disebabkan oleh hasil peramalan menggunakan metode Double Exponential Smoothing memiliki nilai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) yang lebih kecil, dengan menggunakan nilai α = 0,061 dan β = 1, diperoleh peramalan sebesar 6214,26 dan MAPE sebesar 10%.
