Programa de apoyo a la parentalidad positiva dirigido a familias biológicas y acogedoras durante el acogimiento familiar

Abstract

Este estudio examina el apoyo social percibido por los progenitores y las familias acogedoras que participaron en la aplicación piloto de un programa psicoeducativo para mejorar la calidad de las visitas que tienen lugar durante el acogimiento familiar entre los niños acogidos y sus familiares. Se llevó a cabo una investigación cualitativa a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a las 3 madres y a 6 acogedores y acogedoras que completaron el programa. Los casos corresponden a acogimientos permanentes en familia ajena con visitas con o sin supervisión de niños y niñas de entre 5 y 12 años. Desde una perspectiva funcional del estudio del apoyo social, la triangulación de las voces de los participantes permitió identificar que ambas familias percibieron que su paso por el programa supuso una fuente de apoyo emocional, informacional e instrumental. Igualmente, percibieron su utilidad para otras familias biológicas y acogedoras inmersas en un acogimiento familiar con visitas. Los hallazgos indican que el programa psicoeducativo ‘Las visitas: Un espacio de desarrollo familiar’ es un recurso útil para la promoción de la parentalidad positiva en familias biológicas y acogedoras inmersas en acogimientos de larga duración con familia ajena con visitas.
