Vigor e tratamento de sementes no desempenho agronômico da aveia preta

Abstract

A aveia preta é um dos cereais de inverno mais utilizados no Rio Grande do Sul para cobertura do solo e formação da palhada. O presente trabalho objetiva analisar a influência do vigor e tratamento de sementes no desempenho agronômico da aveia preta. O experimento foi desenvolvido na área experimental do Instituto Federal Farroupilha - Campus São Vicente do Sul. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi de blocos casualizados (DBC) em esquema fatorial 3 x 2, com 4 repetições. O Fator A foi composto por lotes de sementes de três níveis de vigor (alto, baixo e muito baixo), e o Fator B composto pela testemunha (sem fungicida) e pelo tratamento de sementes com o fungicida carboxin+thiram. As variáveis analisadas foram: número de plantas por metro linear, índice de velocidade de emergência, altura de plântulas, massa fresca e massa seca. Os resultados indicaram que a melhoria do vigor das sementes aumenta o índice de velocidade de emergência, o número de plantas por metro linear e a produção de massa fresca e seca das plantas, propiciando um estabelecimento antecipado da cultura. O tratamento de sementes aumentou o número de plantas por metro linear, porém, não influenciou no desempenho agronômico da cultura.
