Contradições do planejamento de assentamentos rurais

Abstract

A partir de 2003, quando o governo brasileiro passou a ser presidido por Luís Inácio Lula da Silva, o Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) conquistou a possibilidade de planejar os assentamentos vinculados ao Movimento em vários estados do país. Muito além de se restringir à execução de um documento, essa conquista é também o reconhecimento do Estado quanto à legitimidade da luta pela terra e, sobretudo, do direito do MST e assentados disporem sobre a organização de seus assentamentos segundo suas concepções. No entanto, essa conquista trouxe novas contradições que serão objeto de reflexão deste trabalho. Para evidenciar essas contradições apresentamos aqui o estudo de caso do assentamento Comunidade de Resistência Roseli Nunes, localizado no município de Pequi, em Minas Gerais.
