Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue proporcionar una comprensión detallada y estructurada sobre la brucelosis bovina, abarcando aspectos clave como su etiología, manifestaciones clínicas en bovinos y humanos, métodos de diagnóstico, medidas preventivas y estrategias de control. Como metodología, se empleó un enfoque cualitativo de tipo descriptivo. De ello, se concluyó que la prevención se basa principalmente en la vacunación de terneras de 2 a 6 meses con cepas RB51 o S19. El diagnóstico se confirmó mediante pruebas serológicas como Rosa de Bengala y ELISA. Como conclusión, se resaltó la búsqueda del mejoramiento del manejo sanitario, incluyendo registros productivos, control del ingreso de animales sin vacunación y el mantenimiento adecuado de las instalaciones.
