INFLUENCIA DE FECHA DE SIEMBRA Y BIOFERTILIZANTES EN SORGO

Abstract

Debido a que las siembras de sorgo (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) en el norte de Tamaulipas, México, se inician cuando prevalecen bajas temperaturas y que se desconoce el comportamiento de la asociación sorgo con biofertilizantes en estas condiciones, en este trabajo se evaluó el efecto de siete fechas de siembra en la asociación sorgobiofertilizante (Glomus intraradices, Azospirillum brasilense y la fitohormona brassinoesteroide). No se observaron diferencias significativas entre biofertilizantes en ninguna fecha de siembra ni en el análisis combinado, para rendimiento de grano, porcentaje de infección radical y otras características agronómicas. Aunque en las dos primeras fechas de siembra se observaron temperaturas bajas (12 oC), éstas no afectaron el grado de colonización radical. Sólo se observaron diferencias significativas en el índice de clorofila para fechas de siembra, híbridos y en la interacción de estos factores. En general, el porcentaje de colonización radical fue bajo (6 %), y se detectó la presencia de cepas nativas de hongos micorrízicos en el testigo. Es probable que la baja colonización se deba, en parte, a los bajos contenidos de N, P y materia orgánica del sitio de estudio y al efecto inhibitorio de las cepas nativas.
