Interventional algology has evolved significantly in recent decades, like the introduction of new antineoplastic therapies, which have revolutionized the results of cancer patients and, with it, the presentation of pain syndromes. For the treatment of sympathetic maintenance visceral pain, there are inhibitions in practically all of this system. In the case of bone pain, the bone augmentation technique has become the first - line treatment in selected patients because of the stability it provides. Ultrasound and some regional anesthesia techniques are currently beneficial for treating chronic pain syndromes. Implantable therapy represents a permanent modality for the control of cancer pain through an intrathecal pump, that is to say, the patient is offered a lower dose of opioid in combination or not with local anesthetic and/or other adjuvants at a determined speed, which provides adequate pain relief and a decrease in opioid - induced adverse events. More recent techniques are beginning to be studied and generated evidence in patients with pain of cancer origin, for example, stimulation.
