Este livro investiga a construção da memória cultural em quatro romances irlandeses publicados entre os anos 2000 e 2020 pelos autores Joseph O’Connor, Sebastian Barry, Mary Morrissy e Lia Mills. As obras são analisadas como performances de memória, isto é, construções da memória cultural que exploram os discursos histórico e memorialístico para criar figuras de memória que, por fim, trazem à memória cultural perspectivas silenciadas ou esquecidas pelo discurso histórico dominante.
