Abstract

"A cidadania para a mulher trans minimamente existe. A mulher trans não vive, ela sobrevive". Flavia, mulher transexual, co-construtora da pesquisa. Como as mídias podem colaborar para que produtos de comunicação tragam pautas cidadãs sobre mulheres trans e travestis? Como valorizar as vidas da população que mais é assassinada no Brasil? Em diálogo com seis mulheres transexuais e travestis, o autor desse livro conecta vidas e experiências trans com filmes, séries, novelas, músicas, revistas e outras mídias vislumbrando possibilidades de uma cidadania transcomunicativa, conceito desenvolvido em sua tese de doutorado.
