Os 7 comportamento do autocuidado no diabetes: “da teoria à prática”

Abstract

Este livro tem como objetivo socializar ações de ensino, pesquisa e extensão do projeto intitulado “Redução da Hemoglobina Glicada mediante processo de Educação em Diabetes centrado na Família” que vem sendo vivenciadas pelo Centro de Referência Diabetes nas Escolas de Teixeira de Freitas (CRDE-TxF) da Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia em parceria com o CRDE da Santa Casa de Belo Horizonte. A obra relata a estruturação, o desenvolvimento e os resultados desse projeto desenvolvido junto à comunidade. A metodologia utilizada foi baseada nos 7 comportamentos do autocuidado no diabetes recomendados pela Associação Americana de Educadores em Diabetes. Diante disso, esta obra é um convite para que todos os atores envolvidos com a educação e a formação universitária, no contexto da educação em diabetes, possam dialogar e subsidiar novas práticas de acolhimento e assistência à pessoa com diabetes.
