Cultura, poder y género en la gestión del agua

Abstract

En el cruce entre cultura y naturaleza, el agua se destaca como un recurso esencial que simboliza vida, resistencia e identidad cultural. Las luchas por el agua se convierten en batallas que enfrentan intereses económicos y defensas de tradiciones ancestrales, las cuales reflejan la resistencia contra la violencia estructural que busca deslegitimar formas de vida y conexión con la tierra. En este contexto, el agua es un símbolo cargado de significados culturales y espirituales, en especial, para las comunidades indígenas. Las mujeres enfrentan discriminación múltiple y desempeñan un papel crucial en estas luchas, actuando como guardianas y líderes en la defensa de derechos y territorio, en un ámbito que también se relaciona con el ecofeminismo al conectar la justicia de género con la protección ambiental. Reconocer diversas perspectivas culturales y fomentar el diálogo intercultural es esencial para transformar la gestión del agua en un proceso más justo y equitativo, por lo que la paz imperfecta se muestra en estas luchas como un proceso continuo de resistencia y adaptación, mientras que la paz ecológica ofrece un marco para la preservación de la naturaleza y la cultura, e integra ambas en un camino hacia un desarrollo verdaderamente sostenible.
