Confiabilidad en los Sistemas Tecnológicos

Abstract

El avance tecnológico reciente se fundamenta en el progreso científico de áreas específicas de la ingeniería aplicada hacia el desarrollo de sistemas, tanto computacionales como electrónicos. Estos sistemas se interrelacionan de forma que permiten desarrollar aplicaciones tecnológicas de vanguardia, como lo son los sistemas embebidos y mecatrónicos. Un requisito fundamental en estos sistemas tecnológicos, es proporcionar a los usuarios confiabilidad en su funcionalidad y servicio, y al mismo tiempo, seguridad en su utilización. Este artículo presenta la descripción de los elementos que permiten proporcionar confiabilidad y seguridad a los sistemas tecnológicos que utilizan sistemas computacionales y/o electrónicos de forma sinérgica. Asimismo, se presentan los conceptos comunes del área de ingeniería en el desarrollo de sistemas tecnológicos desde la perspectiva de la confiabilidad y, finalmente, una propuesta para evaluar la confiabilidad desde la etapa de diseño.
