
Increasing employee performance is one way to achieve company success. Therefore, companies need to look at things that can affect the performance of their employees. This research aims to determine the effect of employee competence on employee performance. The research carried out was in the form of field research using a qualitative approach method which collected data using observation techniques, direct interviews, literature study, and documentation on four employees of PT. Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) Bangun Drajat Warga so that descriptive text is obtained as a result of the research. The research results show that employee competency starting from the elements of knowledge, skills, and attitudes can improve employee performance. This result can be a reference that providing training from within or outside the organization can be carried out to improve skills, knowledge about work, and other training so that employee competence becomes better and improves employee performance.
