PENINGKATAN NILAI KONSTANTA KEKAKUAN PADA SHOCK ABSORBER BEKAS SEPEDA MOTOR DENGAN PROSES ANNEALING

Abstract

Pegas (Spring) umumnya digunakan pada beragam pengembangan mesin, pegas saat digunakan harus mampu menciptakan tenaga sesuai, meredam benturan, mengasimilasi dan menyimpan energi untuk meredam getaran. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan proses pembakaran pegas secara annealing dengan variasi besar suhu dan lama waktu pembakaran, kemudian di dinginkan dengan menggunakan teknik normalizing. Pegas yang digunakan adalah shockbreaker mio soul. Perbedaaan suhu pembakaran yang digunakan adalah 400, 450, 500, dengan pengujian konstanta menggunakan uji tekan secara dinamis. Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa terjadi perubahan nilai konstanta kekakuan akibat perubahan temperatur pemanasan annealing. Ketika W 1000N, temperatur annealing 400 °C : 2500 N/m, 450 °C : 2875 N/m, 500 °C : 2272N/m. Temperatur pemanasan yang menghasilkan nilai konstanta kekakuan yang tepat terdapat pada temperatur suhu 450 °C dengan nilai konstanta pada W 1000 N 2875 N/m.
