Abstract

Esta Nota Técnica tem o objetivo de oferecer elementos sobre o perfil da nupcialidade no Distrito Federal, o perfil sociodemográfico dos casais que optam por estarem em uma união registrada em cartório e os que optam pela união não registrada. Houve um aumento do número de casamentos e uma redução do número de divórcios entre 2014 e 2019 no Distrito Federal, de acordo com dados da Pesquisa Distrital por Amostra de Domicílios (PDAD) de 2018 e do Registro Civil do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). Quase a metade da população maior de 15 anos está em algum tipo de união e, cerca de 80% dessas uniões, são registradas, segundo dados da PDAD 2018. Alémdessa predominância das uniões registradas, ainda se percebe que esse fato não acontece uniformemente no território. Nas regiões de menor renda, há uma maior proporção de uniões não registradas, quando são comparadas com as regiões de maior renda.
