TURISMO COMUNITARIO: PERSPECTIVAS Y DESARROLLO ECONÓMICO

Abstract

El turismo comunitario es un modelo de desarrollo sostenible que permite a las comunidades locales gestionar sus propios recursos turísticos, generando beneficios económicos, fortaleciendo la identidad cultural y promoviendo la conservación ambiental. Este estudio, basado en una revisión bibliográfica, resalta que el turismo comunitario contribuye a la diversificación de ingresos, la creación de empleo y el fortalecimiento del capital social, brindando a las comunidades mayor autonomía y participación en la toma de decisiones. No obstante, enfrenta desafíos significativos, como el acceso limitado a financiamiento, la infraestructura deficiente y la dependencia de intermediarios, lo que dificulta su consolidación y expansión. Asimismo, se identifican innovaciones clave, como la digitalización y la economía circular, que pueden mejorar su sostenibilidad y competitividad. La investigación concluye que el éxito del turismo comunitario depende de la autogestión, la planificación estratégica y la cooperación con gobiernos y el sector privado, asegurando un crecimiento equitativo y sostenible que beneficie a largo plazo tanto a las comunidades anfitrionas como al entorno natural y cultural en el que se desarrolla.
