EXODONCIA DE TERCER MOLAR INFERIOR RETENIDO. REPORTE DE CASO

Abstract

Los terceros molares retenidos son un tema importante de la patología odontológica, por la variedad de presentación, patología, accidentes que frecuentemente desencadenan. La retención de terceros molares inferiores tiene una frecuencia del 35 % a diferencia de otros dientes retenidos1. Reporte de caso. El presente caso trata de una paciente de 22 años de género femenino que acude a consulta del Hospital Docente las Mercedes por presentar una leve molestia en la hemiarcada del maxilar inferior del lado derecho. Al examen clínico no se observa la pieza dentaria erupcionada. Al examen radiográfico se observa la pieza 4.8 retenida, la cual se programó la cirugía de la pieza 4.8. La extracción se realizó haciendo uso de elevadores, fórceps, un colgajo vestibular con incisión en bolsa, decolaje, luego de eso se procedió a hacer la odontosecciòn para extraer dicha pieza dentaria. Conclusión: Realizar un correcto diagnóstico clínico como radiográfico es de vital importancia ya que así se para aplicar tratamiento eficaz y correcto
