MALOCLUSIONES EN ESTUDIANTES DEL NIVEL SECUNDARIO, LEYMEBAMBA, PERU, 2019

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar las maloclusiones en estudiantes de nivel secundario en la ciudad de Leymebamba, durante el 2019. Material y métodos: se evaluó a 503 estudiantes de nivel secundario de la Institución Educativa “San Agustín”. Se empleó metodológicamente los parámetros cuantitativos, descriptivos, observacionales de acuerdo a la intervención del investigador, prospectivos según la planificación de la toma de datos, transversales porque el número de ocasiones en que se midió ocurrió en una sola oportunidad y debido a que se observó una sola variable fue de análisis univariado. Para recoger datos se manejó como instrumento una ficha de registro de datos elaborada para la presente investigación. Resultados: se obtuvo que el 41.4% era Clase I, seguido de Clase III en un 35.8%. Según sus edades, presentaron mayores porcentajes de Clase III en las edades de 12, 13 y 19 años, con 55%, 44.3% y 60% respectivamente. Las edades de 14, 15, 16, 17 y 18 presentaron principalmente maloclusión Clase I en el 44.3%, 50%, 44.9%, 52.4% y 42.8% respectivamente. Finalmente, según el género, encontramos que los escolares de 1º al 5º grado de sexo masculino tuvieron un predomino de Clase III con un 44%, y en las mujeres predominó la Clase I en el 47.4%. Conclusión: Los estudiantes de nivel secundario de Leymebamba presentan principalmente maloclusión de Angle Clase I, pero un gran porcentaje presenta Clase III.
