Adsorpsi dan Aktivasi Secara Bersamaan pada Proses Adsorpsi Besi Dalam Hasil Isolasi Abu Sekam Padi Oleh Abu Kerak Boiler

Abstract

Penelitian yang telah dilakukan bertujuan untuk menganalisis mekanisme adsorpsi dan aktivasi secara bersamaan dalam sistem adsorpsi Fe dengan meninjau perubahan kadar Fe dalam hasil isolasi abu sekam padi (ASP) dan abu kerak boiler. Abu kerak boiler yang digunakan sebagai adsorben bersumber dari limbah industri sawit. Proses adsorpsi dan aktivasi serempak mengunakan HCl sebagai media penghantar ion dan juga sebagai aktivator. Tingkat keasaman HCl divariasikan untuk meninjau pH optimum HCl dalam proses adsorpsi dan aktivasi secara bersamaan. Hasil XRF menunjukkan pH optimum untuk proses adsorpsi dan aktivasi secara bersamaan adalah 1,2 yang diindikasikan oleh penurunan kadar Fe optimum yakni sebesar 42,7%.
