Interaction microorganismes et matériaux cimentaires en eau douce naturelle

Abstract

CET ARTICLE TRAITE DE L'ACTION DES MICRO-ORGANISMES PRESENTS DANS UNE EAU DOUCE NATURELLE SUR DES PATES DE CIMENT DE DIFFERENTES NUANCES. LES ANALYSES DE SURFACE MONTRENT QUE LA DENSITE BACTERIENNE DES BIOFILMS RECOUVRANT LES ECHANTILLONS DEPEND PEU DE LA NUANCE CIMENTAIRE OU DE LA POROSITE ACCESSIBLE A L’EAU DES ECHANTILLONS. TOUTEFOIS, LES CIMENTS AU CALCAIRE PRESENTENT UN COMPORTEMENT DIFFERENT. LES OBSERVATIONS AU MEB ONT REVELE LA PRESENCE ABONDANTE DE DIATOMEES SUR L’ENSEMBLE DES SURFACES ET QU’ELLES SONT SOUVENT RECOUVERTES D’UN ENCROUTEMENT MINERAL. LES FRUSTULES DE CES MICRO-ALGUES SONT DONC SUSCEPTIBLES DE REAGIR AVEC CERTAINS HYDRATES DES CIMENTS, EN RAISON DE LEUR NATURE SILICEUSE AMORPHE.
