The principles of a luminescent oil-e lm skin-friction meter are described. Unlike the interferometric oil-e lm methods, this technique measures skin friction by detecting luminescent intensity of an oil e lm seeded with luminescent probe molecules. The measurement system for luminescence imaging is simple and easy to use, and this technique requires no special surface. The feasibility of this method is examined by applying it to several typical e ows.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 43 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
