Monitoreo hemodinámico en pediatría.

Abstract

Permanently, at the hospitals’ emergency services are being received children who are either severily ill or who being moderately sick do advance in matter of minutes or hours towards critical states of the disease. After carrying on them a rapid and complete initial evaluation to reanimate and to stabilize them by recovering their intravascular space, oxygenating them, administering them inothropics, and implementing specific measures for each pathology some type of improvement may be obtained. In accordance with the seriousness of the case a continuous monitoring of basic issues such as vital signs and other specific information obtained through non invasive and/or invasive technology must be carried out. With this monitoring physiological alterations and their trend wil be objectively and continuously known. These activities will help the physician for taking anticipatory measures in order to prevent a greater morbimortality, and will lead him to a better therapeutical ...
