Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a mudança concorrencial do Porto de Santos, comparando com outros portos brasileiros entre os anos de 2010 e 2019. Para tal, foi utilizado um indicador de participação das exportações dos principais portos brasileiros no período investigado para seis grupos de produto escolhidos. O desenvolvimento deste indicador permite verificar como evoluiu a participação do Porto de Santos e mostrar se houve ganho ou perda de participação em relação aos principais portos concorrentes para cada grupo de produto. Foi observado que houve uma significativa perda de carga do Porto de Santos para outros portos concorrentes para pelo menos quatro dos seis grupos de produtos analisados: soja, veículos, ferro e aço, e plásticos. O Porto de Santos manteve ou aumentou participação apenas para as exportações de máquinas em geral e açúcar.
