Se trata de una enfermedad inflamatoria infecciosa grave que puede originar la perdida de vision e incluso la perdida ocular. El tratamiento consiste en antibioticos intravitreos y sistemicos, ajustados segun el antibiograma. El diagnostico de la enfermedad es clinico, si bien cuando se trata una urgencia puede ser vista desde atencion primaria, motivo por el cual es importante reconocerla, dada la gravedad de la misma, y derivarla como tal para un tratamiento posterior por parte del oftalmologo. It is a serious infectious inflammatory disease that can lead to loss of vision and even eye loss. The treatment consists of intravitreal and systemic antibiotics, adjusting them according to antibiogram. The diagnosis of the disease is clinical although it is an emergency, it can be seen in Primary Care which is why it is important to recognize it, given the severity of it, and derive it as such for a subsequent treatment by the ophthalmologist.
